Introducing District Synchro!

District Synchro was founded in June 2021 at Fort Dupont Ice Arena, under the District Impact Skating Club. We're proud to represent the only figure skating club and ice rink in Washington, DC!

District Synchro is dedicated to empowering athletes to excel in synchronized skating through teamwork, positivity, and dedication. We believe that synchronized skating is a sport where everyone belongs!

Synchronized Skating

In synchronized skating, five to twenty skaters perform together as a team. The team moves as a unit over the ice, performing required elements in a program set to music. The most common elements include the block, circle, intersection, line, and wheel. Synchronized skating is the fastest growing discipline in skating, with over 600 teams in the United States alone.

2024-2025 Season

District Synchro is excited to offer both introductory and competitive synchro opportunities for the 2024-2025 season!

  • The Aspire Synchro program is for skaters who are starting out in synchro. These teams offer the fundamentals of synchro as well as opportunities to attend local competitions.
  • District Synchro will also field its IJS teams (Preliminary through Open Juvenile). These teams train toward attending the Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships in January, as well as other regional competitions.
