Fitness For Freestyle

Wellness is everything. We are offering a special class on May 16 for the DISC A.S.P.I.R.E. Spring Training Program.

Fitness for Freestyle
This class will teach skaters how to properly warm up and cool down off the ice in addition to learning exercises to improve core strength, flexibility, conditioning, and ankle strength.

Exercises are skating specific and are taken from US Figure Skating camps and the S.T.A.R.S. (Standardized Testing of Athleticism to Recognize Skaters) program.

Skaters should wear athletic shoes (no slip ons) and bring a yoga mat or towel to do stretching on the ground.
